Recipe with Sweet Onion

In that case, I'm going to give you a recipe of my own harvest that I really like and that uses sweet onion as the main ingredient. This is a sweet onion and goat cheese tart. It is a very easy to make savory tart and it is very juicy and tasty. Here's how I make it:

Ingredients for 4 people:

1 sheet of pie dough

4 sweet onions, sliced into julienne

200g goat cheese

3 eggs

200ml heavy cream

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh or dried thyme to taste

Preparation: Preheat the oven to 180ºC and grease a round removable mold. Lay out the pie dough on the mold and trim off the excess. Prick the base with a fork and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes. In a pan, heat the oil and sauté the sweet onions over medium-low heat until soft and lightly golden. Season with salt and pepper to taste. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Add thyme to taste and mix well. Remove the dough from the oven and remove the aluminum foil. Spread the onions over the dough and crumble the goat cheese on top. Pour the egg and cream mixture over the filling and smooth the surface with a spatula. Bake for 25 minutes or until the tart is set and golden. Let it cool slightly before unmolding and serving.
